The inauguration event drew a prominent delegation, including Vice-President Kashim Shettima, representing President Bola Tinubu; Senate President Godswill Akpabio; Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu; and Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma.

In his address to the state in Ado-Ekiti, Governor Oyebanji outlined an administration focused on ensuring that public spending and infrastructure projects translate directly into tangible economic benefits for households, farmers, artisans, entrepreneurs, and young people. Acknowledging the severe economic pressures currently confronting families, particularly the surging costs of food, transportation, education, and other essential needs, the governor stressed that his policies must deliver practical relief while simultaneously expanding opportunities for all citizens.

Oyebanji emphasized that true prosperity in Ekiti must be visible through better livelihoods, stronger businesses, productive farms, improved public services, and greater overall economic security for families.

Highlighting specific infrastructure goals, he explained that improved road networks are vital for farmers to swiftly transport produce to markets before post-harvest losses occur. Similarly, the governor noted that reliable electricity access is required to support long-term industrialization, boost productivity, and help small businesses remain operational in challenging economic conditions.
